United Neighborhood Network Association
The United Neighborhood Network Association (UNNA) is a charitable, not-for-profit, community based organization. The organization came about as a response to the clarion call from caring and concerned Jamaicans and friends to “Do Your Good Works Now”. The call was answered by over thirty persons in February 2005. There is room for more. The organization earnestly seeks the help of those who are interested in lending a helping hand with our mission.
UNNA consists of members with various backgrounds and are engaged in a wide range of employments. Most are from South Manchester and reside in New York, Connecticut, England, and Florida. Our focus is on education at the pre-school level to the sixth grade. We are also committed to assisting with health care for the adults in the community of South Manchester. Since inception we have been able to provide financial assistance to several children who display exceptional academic promise or who needed help in one way or another.
The officers of the Association are a president, a vice-president, a secretary and a treasurer. They are elected by the regular membership every two years prior to January 1. The association meets once every month except July and August.
Funds to meet our goals are raised through donations, dues and annual fund-raising events. If you wish to make a contribution and/or donation please click on the “Contact Us” page for more information. Your contribution is tax deductible.
