The United Neighborhood Network Association (UNNA) contributed one hundred twelve thousand four hundred Jamaican dollars (J$112,400) to upgrade the plumbing system at Grove Town Primary and Infant school in South Manchester in April, 2023.
The school has been plagued with shortage of water for many years. The lack of a dependable source of water is exacerbated by the theft of water purchased privately. All this coupled with limited plumbing for campus-wide distribution made life difficult for both staff and students. We trust that this contribution will go a far way in alleviating the problem and we urge the community to protect the water supply at this institution.
